According to reports across the media today KMI Brands has acquired body and hair care range, Naked. KMI's portfolio includes King of Shaves, Ted Baker and Little Me Organics.
Cosmetics Business reported KMI Brands CEO, Herbie Dayal saying "Naked fits well with other brands within KMI in that if offers an attractive and differentiated product offering to a loyal and growing customer base. It further strengthens our position in washing and bathing and gives us more depth in the important female hair care market."
Naked is a natural bodycare range founded by Louise Potts, formerly of Boots the chemist, in 2005. The brand claims to be 97% natural and free of parabens, petrochemicals and sulphates. With annual sales of £3m online and in selected Boots stores alongside solid growth of 20% year on year, the emphasis will be on growing the brand and adding new lines for men and children in the coming months.
